About Dave Tilma
Dave is a native Wisconsinite who spent time growing up in several parts of the state. Dave began following Jesus during his middle school years, and shortly after that felt called to give his life to serving others full-time. He received his theological training in St. Paul and has served at churches in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Portland, Oregon and Austin, Texas. This new adventure of starting a church from scratch brings him back home to Wisconsin where he grew up and married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca. They live in Madison with their children–Hudson, Sophia and JD.
Dave enjoys many different activities, but spiritual things are his main focus. “I love to help people connect with God for the first time.” Dave says, “Helping people find answers to their questions or seeing people begin to seriously follow Jesus is my greatest joy!”
“I like seeing things change for the better, “he says. Dave and his wife rehabbed distressed properties earlier in their marriage and enjoyed seeing the transformation. “We liked seeing housing transformed, but we LOVE to see lives changed for the better by the power of God.”
